Claire's work is chilling and deeply psychological. There are no one dimensional characters in her work. Their hearts beat with life, love, happiness, and terror. She has a unique way of describing scenes that creates the perfect sense of unease and anxiety for the reader. Her prose are beautiful and complex. Click on her picture (or here) to check out one of my favorites of her flash fiction. -or check out her own website at clairelfishback.weebly.com |

Matt is a multi-talented author. He works mainly in screenplays, but dabbles in short stories and novels. I met Matt on writing.com through the flash fiction contests. Like Claire, he was a competitor. Well, naturally, wanting to see what the competition was up to, I would read his entries into the contest. My best days were when I could beat his stories in the contest. Of course, this didn't always happen because his writing is amazing. His work is sinister, unflinching, and dark. Check out one of his flash fiction pieces here. And soon, hopefully he'll have his website up and running so you can check out more of his work. Keep coming back for more because there will be more from this rising star. |

One thing I do when I write is look for images to correspond with the mood and character I create. And what a mood Alissa Rindels creates. Her work is provacative, beautiful, and haunting. Alissa's art deserves to be in a class of its own. I love dark fantasy art, and hers stands above any I've seen. Not only is she a fantastic artist, but she's a wonderful person as well, kind, and easy to work with. If all goes well, I'll be comissioning her to do the artwork for Sanitarium. So, look for it soon! In the mean time, check out what Alissa says about herself and see a sample of her work. Just click on her picture (or here) |

Here is the amazing writer who created the Demon Trilogy. Peter was gracious enough to allow me to feature him on my website. I'm honored. I've read The Warded Man and have Desert Spear sitting on my bookshelf, one of my next reads. The moment I started reading The Warded Man, I knew I'd found something special. There is a very good reason why Peter's debut novel became a best seller. His characters are rich, the world is dark, there is magic and intrigue and the realism that holds it all together. Do yourselves a favor. Check out these books. Read them. Cherish them. You won't be disappointed. To visit Mr. Brett, you can go to his website http://www.petervbrett.com/ where you will find his blog, some incredible artwork, and all the things you could want to know about the Demon Trilogy. On a side note for those who enjoy reading awesome fight scenes with some very clever corelings, I never found myself lost, trying to visualize the scene and moves. I was right there, in the mud, nose to snout with the corelings, afraid, exhilarated, and loving every part of it. |
